On Feb 26, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 433\u00a0new cases of confirmed infections, 508\u00a0new cases of suspected infections, and\u00a029\u00a0deaths\u00a0(26\u00a0in\u00a0Hubei province, 1\u00a0in Beijing\u00a0municipality, 1\u00a0in Heilongjiang province, and 1\u00a0in Henan province).\u00a02,750\u00a0patients were released from hospital after being cured.\u00a012,823\u00a0people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation.\u00a0Serious cases decreased by 406.<\/p>\n

As of 24:00 on Feb 26, the National Health Commission had received 78,497 reports of confirmed cases\u00a0and 2,744\u00a0deaths\u00a0in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 32,495\u00a0patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained\u00a043,258\u00a0confirmed cases (including\u00a08,346\u00a0in serious condition)\u00a0and 2,358\u00a0suspected cases. So far, 652,174\u00a0people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients.\u00a071,572\u00a0are now under medical observation.<\/p>\n

On Feb 26, Hubei reported 409\u00a0new cases of confirmed infections (including 383\u00a0in Wuhan), 403\u00a0new cases of suspected infections (including 341\u00a0in Wuhan), and 26\u00a0deaths (including 19\u00a0in Wuhan). 2,288\u00a0patients were released from hospital after being cured, including 1,535\u00a0in Wuhan.<\/p>\n

As of 24:00 on Feb 26,\u00a0Hubei had reported\u00a065,596\u00a0cases of confirmed infections (including 47,824\u00a0in Wuhan) and 2,641\u00a0deaths (including 2,104\u00a0in Wuhan). In all, 23,200\u00a0patients had been cured and discharged from hospital, including 13,328\u00a0in Wuhan.There still remained\u00a039,755\u00a0confirmed cases\u00a0(including 32,392\u00a0in Wuhan), with\u00a07,984\u00a0in serious condition (including 7,049\u00a0in Wuhan),\u00a0and 2,019\u00a0suspected cases (including 1,459\u00a0in Wuhan).<\/p>\n

As of 24:00 on Feb 26, 133\u00a0confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province:\u00a091\u00a0in Hong Kong (2\u00a0had been dead and\u00a024\u00a0had been cured and discharged from hospital),\u00a010\u00a0in Macao (7\u00a0had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 32\u00a0in Taiwan\u00a0(1\u00a0had been dead and 5\u00a0had been cured and discharged from hospital).<\/p>\n
