Golden autumn brings refreshing breezes and the fragrance of osmanthus. To promote the traditional virtue of respecting and caring for the elderly, carry forward the red original aspiration, and pass on the fine school spirit, on October 17 the Municipal Party School held the 2026 Double Ninth Festival Carnival series of activities. More than 400 people gathered together to celebrate the Double Ninth Festival, including retired faculty and staff, representatives of retired comrades from member units of the Jing’an Veteran Cadre Community, and some in-service faculty, staff, and their families.

This year marks the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army’s Long March. Retired comrades from the Municipal Party School’s Red Tide Poetry Society and Red Tide Singing Team, together with the Shanghai Fenglin Poetry Society, presented a poetry recitation event. Party School youth representatives were invited to share the stage, and two generations of Party School members jointly performed red songs and classic poems, paying tribute to the revolutionary forebears and praising the great Long March spirit. Dai Bing, vice president of the Municipal Party School and secretary of the Party Committee of its administrative organs, attended the event and delivered a speech.

As a key project of the 2026 ‘Enjoying Silver Age’ series of the Party School of the Municipal Party Committee’s retiree affairs work, this event relied on the resources of the Shanghai Silver-Haired Store to carefully create an ‘invited-in senior expo.’ More than 30 high-quality enterprises showcased home aging-friendly products, smart elderly care products, and distinctive cultural and entertainment programs, allowing retired comrades to experience up close the new silver-haired lifestyle empowered by technology.
