Make Rural Elderly Care More Reassuring! These 10 Age-Friendly Renovation Cases Are Worth Noting
To implement the provisions of the Shanghai Civil Affairs Development ’15th Five-Year Plan’ on strengthening age-friendly renovations and improving the rural elderly care service network, this year,the city openly solicited rural age-friendly renovation cases from the public(click to view). Through unit applications, material verification, and systematic review, a total of 10 representative practice cases were distilled from the valid applications (covering types such as home environment renovation, elderly care service facilities, and public space renovation), providing new models for the home safety and convenient living of rural elderly people. The city will continue to advance the age-friendly renovation of rural areas, better leverage the exemplary and leading role of the first batch of representative cases, and continuously distill replicable and promotable practical experience, so that rural older adults can enjoy a safe and convenient later life right at their doorstep.Going forward, we will provide detailed reports and introductions on the renovation highlights of these 10 cases.
